    Default Does size matter?

I purchased a pro 78 maybe not quite a year ago and have been very happy with it. In fact I was so pleased with it that I purchased a XTR695 and just received it in the mail today. What I found, though, was that the suction cups for the XTR 695 are much smaller and what I would consider inferior to the suction cups I received with the pro-78. I'm wondering if anyone else has noticed this or has any idea for the reasoning behind this? I think the size and the strength of the cups I got with the 78 are much better than what I have gotten with the XTR, and I'd like to have the same thing for both of my RD's. Do auto part stores have suction cups that I can use to replace these smaller ones I've gotten with my XTR?

Try a crafts store like Michaels if you want to replace the suction cups.

The suction cups for the 695 should be the larger ones

    Michael B,

Thank you for your response. Unfortunately, the suction cups I did get were not the larger ones. I can take a picture of the ones I received just yesterday vs. the suction cups I have for the pro-78.

If there is a retail outlet I can stop by one day to purchase the larger ones Whistler has, please let me know so I can stop by and get them. I am very confident the cups I have for the pro-78 will never come loose; I'd like the same feeling of security for the XTR I have now, too.

    Thanks,

    Rebel

    MIke B,

Thank you. I've found the number on the bottom of my XTR and will give them a call tomorrow.

I have called customer support and am quite pleased they will be sending me replacements shortly. Good customer support is priceless, and I will not hesitate to recommend the two Whistler products I own not only for the customer support I received but for the quality of the product.
