Question 34.3 in the CA Bay Area?

I was down in the Bay Area yesterday, particularly the San Mateo area. My 695 picked up 34.3 on the RSID. There was a cop on the other side of the 101, but I couldnt make out the dept (it was raining like hell).

So I come here to find out which gun uses 34.3, and to my surprise, its a Euro narrow-band freq???

Anyone have any idea on this one?

Some of the Multinovas that I have seen on Youtube run 34.3.

Most likley CHP. However according to the reports, they use Stalker 34.7

Running radar while it's raining really hard is pretty much useless.

XTR-695 RSID feature will also show 34.0GHz,not just 34.3GHz.
In European Union these two frequencies are used for photo radar.
34.3GHz +/-1ooMHz is Multanova 6F ROBOT Visual Systems GmbH
and 34.oGHz +/-1ooMHz is Czech photo radar Ramer 7M and Ramet AD9 Ramet - Police speed camera line AD9

In the US it's probably a misidentified RSID frequency or some false alert source on Ka.

I suppose thats possible, just damned odd it precisely coincided with the approach and passing of a LEO.

Coincidences do happen ... you have NO idea how many crazy stories I've gotten from Cobra users that they caught an off-duty fire volunteer or "airplane radar" using their detector!
