Population of your Whistler in your area?

I'm just curious if you see your own kind of Whistler in your area. I have not seen another Pro 78 anywhere in my city. The popular Rd's in my city are Cobras of course by the thousands,Escort x50's,few V1's,RMR. I have seen a few XTR series.

Ck15 has a Pro 78 in my city but i have never seen him.

My college campus has a 50/50split between Whistler and Cobra... I think I am the only one with a High-end Belscort and V1 at my campus.

As for around the city, its nearly all Cobra. (But there are very few RD's on campus, and in the city for that matter).


I have even seen one of my model Whistler units in a few cars.


One of my friends does have a Vector 940 at my nagging after getting rid of his Cobra, and he goes to the same college... but thats a lower-end Belscort, but would still beat the Cobras/Whistlers I see.

Thats all I ever see around my rinky-dink town. Wait...I do recall seeing an X50 once. The Walmart here is too cheap to carry anything of decent quality. I would have to put on 50 pounds to be able to wear the size clothes which they stock.

I see nothing but cobras. One of my Coworkers has a Passport 8500, other then that all I see are cobras everywhere. 3 other co workers have cobras, and every car I pass has one too.

There are a lot of ESD Cobras (the $40 ones) of my side of Nashville (I've noticed probably 10 in recent months) but I haven't noticed many Whistler. In the Brentwood area (suburbs) you have higher class soccer moms with nice Suburbans, Lexus LXs and Escalades, X5s, and Range Rovers and Husbands who drive 5 and 7 series BMWs, Acuras, etc. I have seen more high end detectors than Cobras in them because the Brentwood Police (which most of my Youtube are of) are notorious and have a reputation that everyone in Nashville has heard of for being a speed trap (and it is). In recent months I have seen a couple of x50s, maybe 3 or 4 9500is, a 2 V1s, and an RX65.

I used to have a Whistler and returned it for refund. It was constantly giving off falses.

I see a mixture of everything here. Of cousre mostly Cobras. It seems everyone has some type of GPS too.

In the service department where I work, I have seen a few older Whistlers. Nothing late model. Unfortunately, I mostly see Cobras. A few 8500s, Bel Vector & RX65, V1. I don't understand someone who buys a Calillac XLR having an ESD series Cobra hanging crooked from his windshield. Most of the RDs in the Rovers that come through are 8500s. Saab customers usually have a Bel product. I have not seen any 9500 series Escorts yet.
