Default XTR 695 Hardwire Problem - Settings Resets

I have an XTR 695 hardwired to the rear view mirror. I am having problems with it resetting at times when I turn the car on. Has anyone else seen this?

I have a 8500x50 and have never had any problems loosing my settings on a hardwire setup.

Yea if you leave it turned on it will do some weird reset on certain ignition starts, not every time you start your ignition, just when there's a jolt high enough to freak the 695 out. I'm going to hardwire mine to my laser jammer kill switch personally, that way I just flip the switch after I turn the car on and both start up simultaneous

The same thing happens to me with my V1 and 9500ix. The V1 resets, every time I start the car, but my 9500ix does not.

Thanks guys. Looks like I need to get in the habit of turning that puppy off. Thought it was odd since there wasn't a problem with the 8500x50, but it sounds like that is just something unique to them.

At the very least, always tap into a heavy gauge power wire since heavy guage wires usually have very little voltage drop when you crank your car.
