Default Veil guys comment on performance of I/O !

This was found on the review of the Cobra 9955

Personally, it really doesn't matter to me how far a radar detector can alert to constant-on radar, if it can't consistently "see" brief trigger pulls of instant-on radar. I rate this capability higher than so-called "long-range" sensitivity. Like the Cobra XRS-9950, the XRS-9955/9960G is a little on the "slower" side to initially react and alert to instant-on radar. The Valentine One and the Whistler Pro 78/XTR-690/XTR-695 are the performance champs in this aspect of detector performance.

    Why wasn't Belscort mentioned?

Well.. With my experience on my 8500 X50 (M4) bought in the summer... IT DOES LAG on IO, up to a second or so. It is reluctant to jump the gun on a bursty signal, which seems to reflect what Belscort says -- the #1 cause for returns is false alerts.

I would rather a false than a speeding ticket!

Its clearly a serious error by the Veil Guy. As you all know, the Belscort M4 platform is far superior to anything else made. It has the longest range, most sensitivity, and is very pretty. No other RD's can come close, ever. Anything that contradict Belscorts M4 massive superiority is clearly a mistake, conspiracy, or extreme denial.

    [/end sarcasm]

Sure did!!!!!! And I'm loving it! Was kind of a b!tch the way I jerry-rigged it, but all I gotta do is hit the power button for the blinders and the Whistler boots up at the same time. Next is mounting the heads for the blinder w/ actual mounsts instead of wanna-be 3M tape so they stay in place and level. Then I'll take pics and post.

That's one of the reasons I went with a Whistler detector. Consistancy at a low price.
