    Default Whistler 1753, decent?

I just found an old Whistler 1753. Does anyone know if this is a decent RD or not? I can't really find anything on google about it except one review which says its decent.

Probably ok for X, K bands, but you should upgrade for better Ka performance.

I don't know anything about that RD - I used to have a Whistler 1734 which was a fair detector. I now have a Whistler XTR 695.

If you need a manual for the 1753, check the Whistler website - they probably have it and you can download and print it.

Whistler is coming out with some new version of RD soon that you may want to check out.

X2...Pro 78 SE and the 690 SE ...Whistler claims they will perform just like a $500 RD with a price for around 180

would it be better to mount it high? since it is probably pretty bad at laser anyway?

ya i mounted high and hardwired it. i live in orange county, CA and drive an 97 explorer so would a jammer really be a smart decision? I think im just gonna save up for a V1.

My cousin had one, it was OK for X and K, the Ka performance was lacking. I'd save for one of the newer Whistlers.
