    Default Testing new whistler models

Has anyone actually tested these radar detectors with the different available police radar guns? and can they produce numerical data of some kind?

If not, when can we expect guysoflidar or any other radar testing sites to schedule and publish tests?

There was some question about whether that unit was working properly or not, so I bought a XTR-690SE and to be totally honest, it's no better.

Freebird and I will performing some semi-official testing within the next few days.

Unfortunately those results dont seem to even jive with the non-SE ranges. Something still isnt right. If my regular 695 got such poor results, it'd be already be long gone.

We have a few new SE Whistlers to test along with my repaired Pro 78se for a total of 3 or 4 se models. We will be testing against real guns on 35.5 and 34.7. We also have a wide range of radar detectors we will be comparing like 955,995,STI,V1,9500ix Pro 78se,xtr690se and another unit purchased from Best Buy yesterday that I will let be a surprise. We will be testing all units on around curve, over hill and forward facing scenarios.

Based on my experience with the XTR695 on my buddy'smotorcycle those results look about right. His XTR695 doesn't pick up forward facing until you are almost on top of the LEO. The SE models picking up at .3 miles does seem to be an improvement.

I need to see if I can pry my wife's XTR695 from her car and see how it performs. I have used it a little bit and it seems to work pretty good. Maybe it performs better than my buddy's?
