I was driving home and hit one of many false K-band alerts. Autoquiet reduced the alert volume to 1 as usual. However, when I glanced at the display a few seconds later I noticed a Ka 35.5 signal. The alert sound had changed to the Ka blip, but still at the volume 1 setting. My music was blaring too loudly for me to hear it. Thankfully I was only going about PSL + 7, so the LEO didn't bother.
For those that don't know Autoquiet automatically reduces the volume of the alert to the lowest setting after 5 seconds. It continues to alert at the lowest volume setting for the remainder of the detection and all subsequent new alerts during the detection of the original alert.
I absolutely LOVE the autoquiet feature, but this is definitely going to get someone a ticket. What I'd like to see is the volume change back to the user set value in the event of a new type of alert.
