It's probably a variation on an older model. The SRT-30 appears to be a re-packaged 1730c. There's some info on them here

the range on the srt-30 has like 30% more gain to it then its little borther whistler 1730 it has more range8) the other model is good for the price i guess its on sale to let us know if you get it.

That's a really good deal. I would say that if you're looking at the lower price range, that would be the one to get.
