Here's my wish list:
-More raw sensitivity in X,K Bands to match Ka(SE) performance. Might be a tall order i know, but this 'is' a wish list!
-GPS RLC capability. Not sure whether EscorBel has patents but Whistler already has RLC technology with its excellent gps performing RLC-100. Maybe they could blue-tooth em both to work together if patents are an issue in a single case?
Better yet, Whistler could negotiate with a Garmin or a TomTom to produce a system with RD'er, RLC alert database, and Map functions. And if this system incorporates multiple or an auxiliary omni-directional radar antenna, the map display would show the probable location of the radar source.
How friggin cool would that be!
-Upgradeable firmware for Hi-end Whistler RD's via USB
-More audio volume. Some of us have noisy vehicles and like to ride with windows wide open with the radio cranked up not to mention T-top, convertible and sun roof users.
-Audio tone control setting in preference menu (for those of us who are tone deaf!)
-Keep the 78 style display
-Matte anti-reflective display lens for enhanced readability in sunlight
-A true dark (stealth) mode with the display totally OFF. Would light up only during
-User selectable red or blue display utilizing maybe a bi-color LED dot-matrix display with user interchangeable red or blue lenses if needed?
-Display persistance for a couple seconds only after very short alerts (under a couple seconds) to allow assessment of the alert
ability to store and retieve the last alert display (or info) with a button combo.
-Keep the periscope LEDs. One of the Pro series best features.
-Bi-color periscope LEDs which are user programmable. ie. one color for Ka, another for K, alternating colors for Laser, etc.
-Auxilary periscope LEDs recessed in the bottom of the case (to keep the bottom flat) for users who prefer to mount the detector high on the windshield.
The colors would be fully programmable also including disabling via menu.
-In quiet, dim or dark mode, the periscope LED's should also be dimmed accordingly. Whats the purpose of quiet or dim modes at night if the periscopes are blasting?
-All stealthy matte case. No shiny anything to prevent annoying reflections. If marketing resists because they like shiny stuff, maybe a two tone case with flat black and flat charcoal (or dark gray colors)? Would really look slick!
-a small cheap bubble level embedded in the case for easy leveling of the detector.
