Howdy everyone, it has been awhile since my last report. Since then, I've run into some local LEOs as well as some unmanned radar units that were positioned off to the side of the road. Here is what I ran into:
This radar unit was unmanned. The LEO forgot to shut off his radar unit after he parked Still, I thought this would be a good test to see how both RDs would do against off-axis K band.

Again, this radar unit was also unmanned. The LEO's vehicle was positioned perpendicular to the road and his radar antenna was shooting out onto the road at the 0:28 mark in the video. Sorry, I was unable to get a shot of the vehicle and drive at the same time.

I circled back around to the unmanned Ka radar unit to see how both RDs would going from the other direction.

Weather got bad and my local LEOs were out in force. Two moto LEOs running Ka 34.7 on the same street This was a good test for the Whistler to see how it would perform in bad weather. NOTE: I did move the Whistler from the center of my windshield to the top. Other motorists around started seeing it and started using me as a rabbit so I couldn't leave the Whistler in the middle of the windshield. I tried my best to keep the Whistler in the camera shot during each encounter.

I circled back around to the 2nd moto LEO to see how both RDs would do against forward facing C/O Ka 34.7

In my opinion, the Pro 78SE is incredible against Ka 34.7 even in bad weather. I've also noticed over the past few weeks that the amount of Ka falses on the Whistler have gone down. During all these encounters, I have run the Whistler in the settings that Michael B suggested to me. POP is OFF and Ka Max with RSID is ON. Filter mode is currently just Filter (not 1 or 2). I have yet to see the Whistler misidentify K or X band. I'm going to try to get together with some fellow Houston forum members a couple weeks from now so we can do some more tests against Ka 34.7 and K band. Stay tuned for more reports
