Default The SE has been exceptionally quiet

I have had Ka max on and Filter 1 on for 3 weeks and have had not 1 Ka9 burst of false alerts while driving around the city.

Where is it mounted? Do the cops in your area use Ka band? Have you had K and X band alerts? Did you double check the menu to verify Ka band didn't get disabled somehow?
Not saying something might be wrong with the detector, just covering the basics.

There are certain areas here where the county and State police use K band exclusively.

I get very few falses with my SEs. The PRO78SE seems to be very sensitive to K band. I have picked up some very long distance C/O K band on long straight highways. Seems more sensitive to K than the 695SE but I think they are supposed to detect about the same.

I never had any problems with the Pro 78 se. Supposedly according to snoopy, I didn't even mount it right.

Surprisingly, it has been awhile since I've had a Ka9 false too.

I think these units have some sort of self calibration/auto sensitivity capability. If I do a hard reset the RD will just go nuts with Ka9 falses every 5 seconds for a couple days, then it will become more and more quiet.

Ka is on and Ka max is on and i do a self Ka test by plugging in another Whistler and it alerts Ka 35.5. X band is turned off ! The local LEO's use K band 90% constant on and some city cops started converting to 35.5. All the motocops have 35.5 on there bikes and Texas tech police run 33.8 Ka and the local sherriff's use Ka 35.5 also. Along with Tx dps with Ka 34.7 but i see them rarely in the city. My rd is hardwired and mounted above the rear view mirror.
