34.3 & 34.9 Ka false

I'm getting a Ka false in one area when i drive by everytime. I'm going to see what it is. It might be someone that has a leaky Rd in a parking lot somewhere such as a employee. I did a factory reset yesterday it is behaving more better than last week. I'm going to New Mexico on a 800 mile trip with video running in a few weeks and i will video of the tower in NM that leaks 33.8 Ka from miles away.

Never had a Ka false with a band ID. Might have had a few with "POP Ka"

I noticed a strong 34.7 KA (Pro78SE) today near my wife's parents farm. There were no LEO's around for miles.. Even where her parents live LEO's that do come around aren't allowed to run radar.

KA always alert out in the boonies near their house.. I wonder if it's a directv sat, or a ham radio?

I will say it has got my attention before I took a sec and realized where I was.. LOL

On my 695 (non-SE) i sometimes receive low powered K (and albeit rarely) X band alerts in the middle of BFE around large power lines. It took a while but i believe that is the cause anyways. It's the strangest thing when it happens too. Like you're expecting some ranger to come around the corner.

I got a 34.3 alert on Wednesday morning. It was a LEO running CO coming directly at me in the other lane. This was definately NOT a false! The display never changed from 34.3 as the alert ramped up and then back down when he passed. I was not aware that there were any radar guns running 34.3 until now. Can anybody explain this?

Unless the LEO's radar gun was severely out of tune, which is highly unlikely, your Whistler misidentified the frequency.
