10 min Video review of Ka9 falsing,Ka max on/off.

I have been doing testing with Ka max on for a while. Here is a location that falses excessively. I also changed in to Ka Normal later in the video in Filter mode and the Ka falses were about the same. Filter 2 was used when my video ended and there still was Ka falses. I have no big problems with Ka max in the rest of the city but this down town area is very congested. I'm trying to find the source. There is a tower i can drive right up to and get Ka 34.7. If you guys have any ideas on more testing let me know. I'm also getting Ka falses near Elementary and Jr high schools and i suspect satellite dishes. I will have more videos later.

Good lord my ears are bleeding now. How can one even get that many false alerts in 10mins??? Thats more packed in 10 mins than I can get in a year. Anyways great video keep up the good work

Didn't watch the video (would of taken hours to download with my dialup) but from what you've said it could be the falses are a result harmonics from WiFi wireless router transmission. Hotels, large malls, coffee shops, schools, downtown areas, etc. usually provide WiFi service.
The WiFi carrier frequency is typically somewhere between 2 and 3 GHz. I seem to remember some WLAN variants can utilize carrier frequencies up 5 GHz. That coupled with the data modulation can be a real witch's brew of harmonics.

If you have a wireless lap top, see if you can get on-line in those congested areas where the Ka falses occur.

well it is bad enough in the city where I live in Canada but out on the hwy in the states X band going of full bore out in the middle of no where K band (Even K goes off in a Safeway parking lot) going off as well where there wasn't anything either, KA band wasn't as bad as the other two but it also had it's moments.
Speed signs set it off, door openers (Even with the filters on) also emergency phones on the hwy gosh everything does I had a 1670 before and that is a old one and I honestly feel it is/was a better unit.
I am looking at finding a Passport 9500 XI

Could you please share with us your home city along with the states and roads you mainly traveled on? Some of us might be able to know what exactly is going on in certain areas.

The 9500IX won't help him either. Unless he covers 8000+kms regularly there is no way he can really lock out all the falses I can understand wanting a quiet ride but come on nothing is 100% quiet.

It only falses on this Avenue like this I only get 3-4 Ka falses a week in other parts of the city. If it is 5:00 rush hour i will get more Ka falses due to heavy traffic. Majority of people here use very very cheap RD's. In my parking lot at work i see over 10 $30.00 cobra models. I hope this area can help Mike B out.

I'm sure your processing time is 700ms or more I'm running 100ms to 300ms.
