Can anyone guess some new features on the 3600 remote? I put in a suggestion a while back for some laser protection.

I would hope they put KA band seg or a USA mode of some sorts. I would also like a true spec display so I can see the freq of any signal instead of the pre-determined ones... but that most likely a far stretch for a budget remote....
1st thing is first: M.B. told us not to speculate and wait for the release... but mehhhh... you started it, and your the Whistler lover, asked for said opinions... so I am giving you what you want:
^^^
That would SUCK! I sure hope M.B. and Whistler did not listen to you... cross my fingers and hope, hope, hope!
-MAYBE if they do it (like an option on the Qi-45) it would be fine... (though I don't want them wasting R/D money on jammers, when they can't compete with the big-dogs in radar detection to start with... why go to jammers?) Or like the optional voice module on the 3450.
IMHO: That is a horrible arena for Whistler to step-into, and I really hope they ignored you...
To have it be PUSHED on us like Escort did the 9500ci would turn me from a potential buyer/tester to an immediate scoffer.
Why:
A) Increase the price to like 450-500+?
B) Add what would be a marginal jammer (at best), when we already have JTG/JFG units -Blinder/LI- and marginal performers at a low PPoint -ZR4)?
Makes no sense... we can only hope they went the logical route and ignored you.
Furthermore, it appears they did ignore you... since the RD was not included with the 'laser countermeasures' as a jammer @ SML.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
If they can get around any involved patents...
-Sector on the other hand... with Ka-band segmentation has got a ringer... THAT would be amazing.
-Some GPS functions within the unit would be stellar.
My favorites on my wishlist...^^^^^
Some other cool things M.B. could have done:
-Maybe something like the LI where it even ID's the gun with pulse-rates on the screen. (AFAIK they just do pulse-rates now).
-Wireless, or wire... less (as in fewer) communication between a few pieces.
-Multi-function (color)display/control unit (the 3450 did outside temp & voltage etc)... build on this!
-***Selectable ramp-up & tones (sort of like a hybrid of VR's Ka-responsive and Belscorts TONE functions). Like 3 different ramp-up grades and tones.
EX... 1/2/3
1-Relatively low/slow response (for desert/flat-land terrain)
2-Daily driving where it is well balanced.
3-Very responsive to get your attention ASAP
TONE: 1/2/3 (Hi/Med/Low)
***Great and cheap idea a company should pay me for and use it.
I expect some details next week...!
(Dnk why I am getting so giddy over some mid-level, entry-user unit... but I am).

how about something like the STi-R+'s encounter history?
If the new 3600 did have laser jammers at SML than they wouldn't release it to the public.
Regardless... my point still stands... it would be wholly stupid for them to release their own jammers with this unit... unless they do it like the Qi-45. No one wants another 9500ci...Originally Posted by Jag42
We already have marginal performing jammers at a cheap-price point: ZR4, we don't need anymore... and I think (hope) Whistler knows that it is a moronic idea.

Not Whistler's jammers another brand like Blinder,Laser interceptor
Spec sheet has been released. On mobile at the moment and cannot attach. Will follow up on Friday.
I suspect this one might have the ability to add a rear antenna in the future
