Yes, it's a great deal. The 693SE definitely appears to be more sensitive on K\X band in my case, (I believe Bigalinwv said the same thing about his unit). I really grew to like my 695, (non-SE), after finding the right spot to mount it.

Shouldnt be any difference in range/performance between the 690SE and the Pro78SE besides appearance and the fact of the LCD screen vs Blue Diodes

so i went out and got one. Had one k band alert did really well...over a huge hill, didn't lock it in right away but gave very good warning

Woah...that was fast!!! Great to hear on the K band detection....something is definitely different with the 693SE's!
