How about a new filter mode that strictly slows the scan over X and K bands only?

Exactly! Better yet, K band only. Although, I doubt either will matter for dook22, since he lives in SoCal. He's probably going to have to run filter3 to deal with the Ka band falses anyway. We've already seen my 3600 get PWN3D by Q/T Stalker radar while running filter3. Here in SoCal, at least 99 percent of radar encounters are Ka band. The performace of Whistlers against Ka band, on filter3 is not good.
Not gonna lie djrams, but that ad from that website made me laugh (Firefox with Ad Block Plus FTW)
I did try Filter 2 and it did cut down most of the falsing, but the 101 can be so straight that while it blocks the first signal, another can sneak through. (because together they add up to over 2 seconds)
Unfortunately, most of my locals use K Band. Fortunately, when (or if because I rarely see them) they are working traffic, its always C/O. I just usually dont speed in towns anyway (too many places for LEOs to pop up and too many places for people to randomly pop out of). I mostly do my "work" on the freeways, and thus "play" mostly with CHP, but occasionally the sheriff.
I am working on something to address this.
Please be patient a bit longer.
Will update after testing is completed
Throughout the use of my 695 I haven't seen a false for Ka band yet. Ka detection has been so far been pretty accurate and timely. I really don't know adding a "filter 3" for k band would make all that much of a difference since the alert goes on for a quarter of a mile. And like I said, my 9500 ix rarely gives me any x,k, or ka band alert while on the 10 freeway unless I see CHP using Ka. Furthermore, it seems as though the alerts that the 695 gives off on that same stretch of freeway tends to be in the same area over and over again. X or k band alert on calimesa blvd, k band on beaumont ave, k band near a rest area/road stop between oak valley pky and cherry valley blvd.
RIP Duncan my BELOVED black lab son 8/7/99-3/23/11. I will miss you DEARLY.
