Just wrapped up a 150 mile trip. I would like to report on results. Had both V1 and 693se mounted on windshield, a little less than 3 feet apart. V1 mounted a few inches higher.
I encountered 6 LEO. both detectors alerted to each one each time. I had one instance where the whistler alerted Ka band at first to a K band signal. I guess this is the well known of band confusion.
The whistler alerted to Ka once before the V1 did, it gave a Ka level 1 alert then stopped. Then they both came on a little after.
On all the other encounters the V1 alerted a good deal before the whistler, but the whistler always alerted and provided enough time to slow down as long as not going more than 20+ psl.
I'm not sure how much they interfered with each other, but all in all it was a fun trip. I got to rev up the audi, just got the oil change and the inspection done. Laid down a nice wax too, the highway driving went smoothly.
