Pro 78se's speaker crapped out on me today !

As the title says the speaker in my pro78 crapped out today it makes the worst screeching noises like terrible white noise, is there a replacement speaker I can get somewhere or sent it to whistler ?

I don't know WHAT you people do to have your speakers go bad all the time. Do you leave your detector in the straight sun a lot ?

The only time its really in the sun is when I park at work (from 2p-11p) I take it down while at home parked, I wouldn't think heat/sun would killed it with its location either but hell anythings possible..

many of these little speakers are made from paper and heat in the car from the sun will make then fragile over time.

I know when I purchased my 78se I opted for an additional 2yr warranty (purchased from Sonicelectronix I believe square trade warranty) but I can't find my paperwork on it :/

Grabbed a little project speaker from radio shack maybe I can make this work !
