Default Turning off X band PRO 58

Hi, I'm new here, I just bought a Whistler PRO 58 and here in Florida is illegal for cops to use X Band, so I wanted to know how can I turn it off when I using Highway. Thanks.

you wont be able to turn it off in highway mode.... X band can only be shut off in City 2 mode. you can use city 2 mode on the highway if you want because K and Ka are left untouched with regards to sensitivity, but i do recommend you use highway mode on the highway= best sensitivity :!:

All of this information is in your owners manual and if you did not get one go to Whistlers web site and download it.

yes true true. I wish people would stop asking about falsing and stuff along those lines its all in the manual how to reduce stuff like that.

If anything read the manual while on the pot.

I did read the manual about 3 times, but I does not say anywhere where to turn it off in Highway mode

the only detector that I know that can omit X band all together regardless if in highway or city mode is the 1793 you will have go into option mode to disable X band entirely, but for the pro series you either have the choice of using city 2 mode for highway or use highway mode and just learn to live with the few X band falses that you get here and there, but what i told you earlier x band cannot be disable in highway mode for the pro series. :!:

I guess you didnt read the manual close enough. Highway mode is highway mode means all bands on. Switching to city modes is what cuts out bands. Is all in the manual. Dammit switch to city 2 mode. And be happy.
