or lack there of........

I was hit with Laser in this spot on 287 with my S2 a couple of months ago, and I was stopped. I got no response form the S2 when I was hit, so I figured it was time for the V1.
I have since drove by the same spot twice with the V1, and got no response from the V1. When I looked both times at the officer, he was clearly holding a Laser Gun. My V1 is mounted HIGH, and both time's were in the daylight. Why am I getting no response when hit with LASER???

it's possible that the officer wasn't shooting. sometimes they "watch" traffic through it, waiting to shoot someone. the V1 is extremely sensitive on laser, so unless your particular one has an issue, even high it should alert no problem. give it some time. you may need to do several passes to see if it alerts. they may shoot you just because you keep driving by.

Thx for the heads up, I will keep it in mind.
BTW you have some very impressive equiptment. What kind of vehicle are you running that all on???

RacerX is right... One of 3 things come to mind. 1. They weren't shooting when you went through there 2. Possibly the placement of your V1 3. Possibly a problem with your V1

I would take them in that order for possibilities. Make sure your V1 has a good clean line of sight with nothing blocking it's view. The V1 is extremely sensitive to laser and is in a class of it's own when it comes to laser. Next thing to take into account unless you have countermeasures to the laser your going to get a ticket unless you happen to pickup scatter from the vehicles in front of you. The V1 is capable of doing this as I have had it save me on a couple of occasions this way, but that is luck and not a capability I would risk my license with. YMMV

A Laser Jammer is ideal, but not a reality for me. Im returning the car is less then a year.
I do have other countermeasure though, I have donated a lot of money to police funds, and have recieved cards and a windshield badge because of it.

If the LEO waits until you're real close before he shoots you, it's possible that a high-mounted V1 will miss it, because the beam is much narrower at close range.

Sharp eyes are as effective or more effective than even a V1 for sniffing out Lidar traps. Many times I'll see the cruiser or LEO even before he shoots and sets off my V1.

thanks. :) i need to work on a new pic. i have aftermarket headlights that are partially blacked out inside, cutting down the reflective surface by almost half.

maybe its mounted too high and the tint strip is preventing the v1 from sniffing out the narrow beam :?:

Do you ever get a laser alert on your V1? Say from Infinitis, or Trailblazer brakelights? Have you tried using a TV remote to set it off? Just to rule out a faulty V1.
