Myself and a friend of mine both have Bel RX75 Plus remote Radar/Laser units. Money well spent! Unfortunately, mine was recently damaged in an accident. The display reads "Check Receiver Wiring." I've plugged my friend's receiver into my car at the disconnect point and normal operation resumes.

I was wondering if anyone knew where I could pick up a replacement receiver? Beltronics themselves admit that the part was available but would not sell to the general public (myself.) I've contacted the distributors for MD but have not yet received a reply.

Another idea, is it true that the RX75 and Passport SRX are essentially the same unit? If I were able to source the receiver for the SRX would it work in place of the original RX75 receiver?

Thanks in advance everyone!

I think that you should give Roy a call. He might be able to special-order the part for you, as he is an authorized dealer.

And welcome to the board!

I will do that. Thank you for the quick reply!

I'm glad I found this board, a lot of good information available. I'm sure I'll become a regular.

Seriously. I waited years for this exact board to be created but never expected it to happen. It's probably going to get me fired. There's plenty of excellent information to be had. Don't let the occasional spat of BS turn you off, as overall I think this is one of the most productive boards I've seen.

I'm loving the "how to beat your ticket" forum. The main reason I decided to purchase a detector was getting hit with a ticket in excess of 40mph over the posted limit. (Yes, I was on an empty highway.) That court date is a mere 8 days away.

I help maintain a local automotive club forum and I am well aware of the BS you're speaking of. I'll try to keep it in mind!

In the mean time I've dropped RadarRoy an e-mail. Thanks again!

I doubt he's around anymore, or that regular that he said he was going to become.

NMA has been addicted to the Search function as of recently...

Apparently, and honestly - I'm not sure why.

Well, I tried to get a small little part for an old Escort 4600 rd (decent rd) one time from Escort and they couldn't send me the little diode that I needed to make the rd work right. I only bought it at a second hand store for $5.00 so it's not like I was out much. Too bad though because I would like to try one of those older Escort's. :(

I was getting very nervous about this forum a little while back with all the restrictions on "freedom of speech" and the rights we die for being a democratic society.

I am glad that Roy has relaxed his rules, so we can post test results that we obtained ourselves.

This forum has consistently been a great source of info and I feel proud to be a member of this sub-minority community.
