if you had a choice?

here's a question from this newbie...
If you had a choice between a:
Cobra xrs9830
or a
Bel 945,

Either for free, new. Which would you choose?

I've got "free money" at a local retailer to spend... I want a decent Radar laser detector... but the retailer cannot order any other models... etc. That's what they have, that's my choice...

Cobra makes ok detectors, but if you can get a Bel, go for it. you will be much happier, and will be less likely to get a ticket, as long as you use your detector wisely, and not just assume that because you have a detector, that you will not get tickets. The detector is just a tool, not an overall solution.

That's what I thought. I've been reading these forums for a while. And while I'd prefer a V1 or STi.. They ain't free, and these are...

I don't usually speed much.. but sometimes, I drift upwards... ya know, my foot gets tired and all... Pretty soon it just tries to rest itself closer to the floorboard....
