anyone else notice that their cellphone sets off laser on their detector? when i was moving my suctioncup mount today i had my x50 sitting on 1 leg, and my phone on my other all of a sudden laser is going off and im like WTF?? then after i move my phone away it stops. so after a few thorough tests i concluded it was indeed my phone that set it off.

Nope doesn't set mine off. Have my RD sitting next to me (house adapter :D ) and just tried putting my cell phone infront of it, didn't set it off. What phone do you have? I have a audiovox 8610

There is something in the dash of my I30 that sets off my V1 and a Passport 5000 if pointed in a specific direction. I have no clue what it is.

Oops didn't see that! Yeah it's a nokia. Don't the sidekicks have some type of Infrared built into it for gaming or something? :?:

You may want to call Escort. 7500S models had a cell phone problem and they did a mod on them, IIRC.

both cases are false sources of IR light, probably same wavelength as real lidar guns

Are you using VCast? or BlueTooth?

I notice when I use my bluetooth on my car my radar goes off sometimes  (escort), scared the **** out of me

The SideKick is made by a company called Danger Inc. I believe that's the only phone they make.

I have a 1st Gen Razer V3 ( Black )
I also use a Bluetooth Plantronics Voyager 510 headset constanly and have never had laser false while using either.

Was thinking of the n-gage. I don't keep up with all these new cell phones coming out every 5 minutes

I'd try with my sk3 but had to return it. Had it in the same pocket with my check/debit card and the magnet from the flip screen erased everything off the card...
