When I am listening to my cb, some people echo so bad that I cannot tell what they are saying, it even sounds like they might be playing around. Does anyone know what causes this???

Does anyone know what causes this???What causes this is an "echo mic" which creates the echo sound...Some people do it for fun. But if you are serious about CBing you need a serious mic. I only use a power mic to amplify my vioce a bit. I use to have an echo but didn't boost my transmitting volume

Besides the mic, some radios also have a built in echo board and the effect can be toggled on or off. There are good echo boards like the ones in the expensive Connex radios etc, and junky "clone" boards that are cheap. The really good radios are almost easier to understand when the echo effect is in play but the cheapos sound like you are describing.
