This is something new that i haven't seen before, the technology used isn't exactly new or anything it's just glorified VASCAR. Here is a pic of the system and a brief description.

SPECS works using automatic average speed digital technology. A pair of cameras creates a speed controlled zone and groups of cameras can be linked to create a speed controlled network.

As vehicles pass between the cameras pairs they are digitally recorded. The time it takes for the vehicle to travel between both points is used to calculate the average speed.

Wow alpine, that sure looks like an expensive set of cameras. I just want to know who the heck paid for those? I demand some answers.

Im guessing us tax payers nma, if you read too they say they are ment to be able to be linked to "MULTIPLE" camera's to create a "TOTAL" speed controlled enviroment, or something to that extent is what they say in that paragraph that upsets me. Exactly how much would that cost? I mean heck those camera's alone look like they run in the THOUSANDS of $!
