Hello All,

I'm new to this forum, but maybe you could help me :)

I've made my research in the Internet and made a conclusion that LI is better performing than Blinder M25, LPP, Lidatek LT-400 and all others. Is this correct?

I thought about getting one from UK dealer.

They replied to my email, but only to the very general questions and a link of how I could purchase one being outside of UK. I asked them once again, with more specific questions about how does LI perform with RedSpeed SpeedHunter and Unipar Services SL700 laser guns. But I had no reply.

What concerns me the most is that I could get at least a simple answer like "we have no tests made with these guns", but had no answer at all.

This just leads me to the question: are they reliable? Can I trust Internet tests where LI is praised?

Thank you for your comments on this issue,
Taifun

there is nothing to be affraid of with regard to LI and it's performance.. if LI can;t save you nothing else really can ;)

as for the guns - i've never heard about those before. are they clones or..?

and yes you can trust GOL tests and also the Speed lab test :)

I've found some posts about delivery problems.

Could you recommend where is it better to purchase from: laser-interceptor.com or laser-interceptor.co.uk? Action is in eastern europe.

the li problems have hopefully been corrected by now, but as of yet the few hundred that are sold worldwide in the past six months after numerous faulty units went out ( 38 % faulty in the u.s.) have not been longevity tested i.e. A year or more... Newer versions continue to develop but its a hit or miss unit...

Taifun - you can, as the other members have said, easily follow the current threads that contain debate of the LI's reliability/durability. That will be the best place for you to follow-up on your concerns, of this nature.

In my view, currently, the LI's reliability record stretches as long as any of your other viable choices - Blinder 5-suffix, J16 revision, AntiLaser G9, and Escort ZR4. None of these units have surpassed the one-year mark, and most are well-within that of the 6-month mark.

Yes, I am well aware that the LI has well surpassed its one-year anniversary, here, stateside - however, given the failure-rate of the first-US-batch, I am reluctant to bring that into the picture for fear of confounding the issue further. Given that the warranty replacements for those faulty units (cited figures from both the LI mother team in Croatia as well as their official stateside representative, Laser Interceptor-USA, has, in the past, pegged it at nearly 70%, for that bad batch) are only now coming to the 9 to 8-month mark, in terms of age and time-on-road, I think it is only fair to say that it is no more or less reliable/durable than what we've seen of either the Escort ZR4 or the Blinder 5-suffix, J16 revision.

While the LPP, in its current format, certainly does have a longer durability/reliability track-record, I am very hesitant to advise in its favor, simply as the UK is heavily populated with LTI devices, and I can only imagine that it will not be long before the TruSpeed makes its presence there - and to-date, LPP-UK/KMPH-UK has yet to respond with a proper solution to this concern.
