My RX65 may have some pretty bad problems:
I get one bar when approaching my local speed sign (from behind) compared to when I used to get half or full blast. I need to try testing it going towards it though, ill get to that tomorrow
Laser...I am getting sudden blasts of laser alerts for 10-15 seconds, just laser, laser, laser, laser and more laser. This has happened on two occasions now.
When I start up the car it displays low voltage, could this be causing the damage?
Thanks in advance.

Thanks in advance. The RX65 will display low voltage in several vehicles when you start them. This is normal and is not causing your problems. You most likely will have to send your unit in for repair. However, I would always try a reset just for good measure. When the detector is off, hold down the city and dimness buttons and press the power button. This is always worth a shot.

It sounds more like a flaky power issue. If its a hardwire setup then check the inline fuse for oxidation. Simply opening and then closing the fuse housing usually breaks through any built up oxidation. Double check the power and ground connections and crimps if you have done a hardwire installation. Also use a RJ-11 crimper and recrimp the RJ-11 plug on the end of the power cord just to be sure that the connector is making good connections with the cord wires. If you are using the standard coiled SmartCord, then either try another SmartCord or try recrimping its RJ-11 connector.

Plug the same power source into your 9500i or your 8500 x50 and see if you have any issues.
