I spoke to him just b4 the Holidays responding to his email informing me that the new, slimmer LI heads were in. I called him and told him that my LI heads we giving me the bad connection voice alert after a very heavy rainstorm. Maybe he's on vacation.

I believe I read in a thread that the slimmer heads are not only easier to mount where space is a premium but that they provide better JFG protection. Anyone better informed care to chime in here??

^ I also read that. IIRC, Ivan himself mentioned that the Ultraslim heads were optimized for rear protection scenarios - that their revised optics were specifically designed to effect better JFG protection.

Back on-topic. :) Last I heard from Elvis was via phone, at the beginning of December, if memory serves. It was also to very kindly inform me of the availability of the Ultraslim heads, which I'd expressed interest in purchasing (lack of funds due to the holidays as well as from other needs prevented me from doing so, but I do, honestly, still intend to make this purchase ASAP). I'm sure he's just taking a holiday.

elvis is on vacation. spoke to him earlier this week before he was about to send me a dual head LI. regarding slim heads, i was supposed to get one regular and one slim but he told me he sent out his last slim to someone after i sent payment. :x who took my slim head?!!! :)

though he tried to convince me that the regular heads were not that much bigger, he told me he would switch it for me in the future when he gets more slims in maybe a month and for now would send me a regular dual head set.

if he holds up to that promise, i will be happy customer. should i be worried?

ivan does recommend vertically placed slim heads for the rear for better extreme angle protection.

for those curious, i plan to put one head in front and another in the rear of my mini cooper. hope to install them this weekend if i get them in the mail.

In any case, I do *NOT* think you've got anything to worry about with Elvis. From my interactions with him, he seems to be an upright and honorable man. :) I wish I could say more, but the fact of the matter is that I simply haven't had any interaction with him outside of my initial LI purchase. :oops:

^ Compared to its main competitors, though, I think that the LI is priced very reasonably.

I'm not really complaining about the price...rather, just stating that it is my limited funding capabilities that prevents me from acting faster on the rear heads. :)

Well, no worries. I got my LI in the mail from Elvis today. :D I think it was his last shipment before he took off for vacation.

Though I knew the dimensions, the cpu box and heads seem surprisingly small in real life.
