View Full Version : Do I have the bad LI version or the good one?

Ivan said there is a bad and good version of the "stalker fix." What revision numbers are the good ones and which ones are the bad ones?

You know what's fishy about this entire board?

20 of us on this board are seeing quality control and software related problems with the Laser Interceptor compared to 1 person on this board who had a problem with the Laser Defender, yet the 1 person who had a problem with the LD has a "STICKY" and all the problems related to the LI are labled as "Fishy" and not stickied. What can be more fishy then people on this forum trying to make it seem alright we just paid $600.00 for a product that has a failure rate of 20%. I feel like everyone on this board except for the ones who have problems work for Elvis. Seriously.

I wish I would have read the small print with the GoL testing. I feel mislead about that test, being it was a completely different jammer all together(dual diode.) It's 100% my fault I was duped into buying a product that tested well in prototype stage. Concept cars are given rave reviews, but they rarely make it to production or they're severely watered down to cut costs when it finally hits the market. I feel the GoL was taken advantage of and in return a few skim readers lost some dough. I can only be thankful I can spare a few bills for my mistake. Others won't be so lucky unfortunately.

I have a feeling my LI will be sold on fleabay in exchange for an escort ZR4. I know Escort doesn't have supply chain problems. Let's hope the GoL tests a retail version of that, not a prototype.

The help desk idea brought up by Ivan is a good idea, however if I continue to see problems with no resolve in 1 month I'm going to be really upset.

What's fishy is LI has the most problems out of any jammer on this board, yet it doesn't have a sticky notifying people of the problems.

AL has an unhappy poster thread stickied
LD has an unhappy poster sticked

All while out of the blue a ton of people like me are experiencing poor quality control. Why don't the people in control of this board care to notify newbee's of these problems by stickying something about LI's progress at least? I smell more then fish on this board. I smell major bias.

Or better yet we should do an investigation on who the Mod's work for ;-) Sweep all LI problems under the carpet.

he says newbee!?!?! seem to know alot and how to navigate very well through this forum for being a newbie. you found all the "bad" threads, yet you havent come across ivan posting and telling everyone to sit tight, replacements are on the way? im sencing not only fish your way, but a whole ton of "bias". before i get flamed, i personally dont have a laser jammer and have been doing alot of research either way. as for davekr, he has a lpp. yet we are defending the LI from someone who hasnt even contributed to this forum before he starts blabbering his mouth off. this site has alot of integrity, and we dont want that compromised by someone who has no credibility to what they say.

LI -- Most complaints on the board
AL -- Few complaints
LD -- 1 complaint

And the winner with the most complaints doesn't get a warning sticky.

Why the bias?

If anything is fishy, it's both of the OP's threads!!!
Exactly. The above link is my reply to his original post:

I bought my LI 3 weeks ago. I've been hit one time already(saved), but lately I've been getting this annoying sun interference message. I like being notified if the sun is inhibiting my jammer, but this message is starting to pop up at night even when no cars are around. Is my LI about to die?

and reply:

The following three conclusions need to hold:

1. The OP was intelligent enough to find about this forum after running into problems with their LI
2. The OP did not find anything related to the sunlight interference issue while searching
3. The OP never used the forum's search function

What's fishy is that he had found this forum (first post) without finding anything about the sunlight interference issue!!

No one is sweeping anything under the carpet. Last time I checked, there are a million threads open with LI concerns. Before the LI was released, there were a million threads wondering when it was going to be released.

+1.

The LI has received the most "press" simply because it's been one of the most anticipated products to have come along.

And more than definitely, a good portion of such posts/threads have been "negative" in nature.

And just as certainly, none of it is being shoved under any kind of cover.

Is LI hiring anymore shill account posters to defend there quality control problems and misrepresentations of the original tested product?

What would be in it for me if I joined the hush hush pro-LI camp?

The fact that there are some guys who are still using this sneaky and ridiculous way to make a propaganda against Laser Interceptor , show us that they really know and recognize the supremacy of this new amazing jammer and afraid that their product's sales will not be as in the past.
The best they have to do is: not to talk and try to improve their products so they will have a chance in the future to play fair game vs the Laser Interceptor...
That's all
Thank you

Who, exactly, is defending their quality problems?

The majority of posters here have, in reality, been complaining about problems as well as service.

Similarly, who's trying to "hush" things?

Are the posts/threads regarding LI problems being deleted or modified?

No, they're not. They're here for everyone to see and read.

As I've said in another thread, I understand your frustration with the product, M3eatsmany - as a fellow hobbyist/consumer, I feel the same, even though my units have yet to show this problem.

Still, just because you're disappointed - and again, understandably so - it should not merit your striking out at every chance, particularly where such will in no way help your issue, and only further make your posts seem like personal attacks, filled itself with the "agendas" that you're referring to.

Seems like everyone in the jammer industry is out to trash everyone. I don't believe problems about jammers I read about on this board with new members unless they have posted around a while.

First off I suggest that you read my "Sticky" dated December 16th
http://www.radardetector.net/viewtopic.php?t=19917

You'll see "legal owners of the board" we (I) warned you well in advance that anyone who puchased one of the LI jammers could be violating the law and that the users accepted all risks!

M3eatsmany read the forum and the comments that other users have posted and stop your BS conspiracy thories. I'm getting tired of them as well as other members of the forum!

IMHO...
From my point of view the difference is this... a lack of/poor customer service.

LD got stickied because the customer was ignored.
AL got stickied because of a "delay" in customer service.
LI seems to have/ has problems but customer confidence is being maintained, so no sticky.

I've got LPP in case you're wondering, but I felt like lobbing 2 cents worth.
