Just got F*cked over by Escort Sent me the wrong Item!!!!!

Wow They really screwed up.

I ordered the ZR4 once I saw people on here mention it. I called Escort and they told me I would be a list for it. Everything was smoothly and I kept calling about my status. I called back and it was sent out.


I was excited the unit came today and I open it up and I see the

Escort 9500CI

I'm like you got to be kidding. I see its 1,599.00

I flip a fit

I check online in my banking and I See they sent the wrong thing and charged me 1,600

I'm PISSED I called and told them they charged me wrong amount and the lady goes " oh i see you called in april we didnt even have it for sale then and there's no record of you even ordering/talking about it.

SO now i'm -600 and I'm going to get at least 400$ in over limit fees and I have no money

They offered for me to sent it back with their prepaid label and they would refund ONLY the 1600 so now I'm out 400 for their mistake

What do I do about this :(

They only CHARGED you $1600, why would they refund more? If your whining about overlimit fees call the bank, they'll reverse it when they see the refund from escort. Sheesh.

Also the lady checked my VISA card and she saw about 3 charges for 449.00 that were denied.


So looks like Escort Screwed up and they wont admit it. I'm going to call now and let them know that information.

I should just go buy a ZR3 in a local store and return it and tell them they sent me the correct one. since they just loyalty ****ed me over :(

keep the 9500ci and argue w/ the bank until they refund ALL of the money escort charged THEN put a block on your account so that they cant charge you any more (or cancel that debit card and get a new one).


I had a similar incident happen to me, granted for not nearly as much but the company kept trying to charge me money after i told them to stop so my bank reversed the charge, refunded my money and blocked them from charging me any more money.

Hopefully after this fiasco Escort will pay all of your overdraft charges if your bank doesn't take care of the charges for you. I can fully understand you being very, very upset since your account was wiped out and seriously overdrawn. On the other hand, you will be forever remembered here as the first customer (aside from beta testers) that we know of who received and was holding a shrink wrapped 9500ci RD system!

Actually what I would have considered Top-Notch customer service from Escort would have been: Give him back all his charges, and pay any overage fees that have been incurred by him (if they bank doesn't wipe these clean), AND THEN let him KEEP the 9500ci (since he had it already) for the $449 that he paid for the ZR4.


THAT would be REAL customer service, since lets face it, a 9500ci probably only costs them a bit more then that to make, and overall they should understand its petty-cash to them to make right for their customer. Especially since their customer is a member of this forum, and this will be a highly public case.

I don't think they will do this though. At least give it to him for the price of the ZR3 (a little rebate for his hassles).

I for one, will be extremely dissatisfied with this situation if all they do is credit his money back, and give him a ZR4 at full price. (After all that should have happened in the first place without any incident.)


I may start looking towards the PASS system over the ZR4 now, if Escorts Customer Service doesn't do anything for him. Hope Escort is listening, because they may just lose a customer (in me).

If you want to make an online purchase, use a credit card with the Virtual Account Number feature - with a VAN, you can specify a dollar limit on the card when you generate it. You could have specified a $450 limit and Escort could never have charged $1600 onto your virtual credit card.

I hope you get the mess all straightened out quickly. It really sucks to have some incompetent f*cks accidentally clean out your bank account and cause all your other scheduled payments to bounce. :evil:

I also got a ****ing ticket going to UPS to return the package. There was a statie and he was comming towards me it was kinda dark and rainy and he turns around and pulls me over for no front plate and TINT 285$ ticket.
