Escort, V1: Compatible cords?

Are the 8500 X50 and V1's cables compatible with each other? If they are, it'd make switching detectors around in my car a *LOT* easier!

y STi works on both...the v1 will work with a belescort cord but it will not be able to change modes A, l, L

that is only true for the smartcord. i hardwired my x50 with the excort hardwire cable and my v1 works fine with it...you just cant use the smart cord otherwise as said, you cant change modes.

Ok, so it supplies power just fine, but the little button on the cig plug doesn't do anything? I'm fine with that!

This is great because the 8500 X50 doesn't come with a straight plug, and I'm afraid on minivans where the cig plug is far from the top of the windshield, a coiled cord won't work all that well.

If you have the Direct cord, it will work perfectly with the V1.
