There is a place by me that has it for sale for 300, and charges 125 for full installation.. not a bad deal I think.

If I Veil my foglights would the ZR3 be sufficient against the most up to date lasers? I really like how it can hook up to my X50

Don't do it. Call up Roy and get a blinder M20 if you want the best LED jammer. Buy the laser shield for your license plate and Veil for your headlights.

No I'm not in court. It's an ongoing inside joke with this forum. The server is kind of slow, but the whole story originates in this thread http://www.radardetector.net/viewtopic.php?t=1815&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=30

does everyone else agree? Is the ZR3 not worth purchasing?

"worth" is a relative term. If i am low in cash and someone offers a ZR3 for a price i can afford (and i can't afford the Blinder M20, M30 or M40) then i'd go for it.

But if you're talking about the "best" performance, Blinder is the best, followed by (and some would say equally) the Lidatek jammers.

I personally would go with the Blinder, tried and proven technology.

The main problem with the ZR3 is the lenses can't be replaced. The blinder on the other hand can have it's lenses replaced. The same goes with the Lidateks. LE-30's have a quartz coating that make it extra durable against scratches :-) Both jammers can be purchased from Roy at www.radarbusters.com. If money is an issue why don't you just wait to save up $50.00 more and buy a Blinder. You do know Roy gives Forum users a discount. Give him a call today and see what he can do for you.

ryanfx,

Welcome to the forum. Is the ZR3 a good buy? Yes, I think so. I use the Shifter ZR3 on my Audi and I am impressed with the product. In my opinion, in real world laser encounter every jammer is going to preform for alike. Only down fall of the Shifter of the is if something happen to one of those front lenese your gonna have to replace the whole damn thing. Hope this helps.

True but what WOULD be the better value? 300+125 for install, totaling $425, or $449 for the blinder, plus installation. The only benefit is blinders replaceable lenses I guess. But the shifter coverts both front and rear the blinder you have to purchase the M40 for front and rear protection and to have it installed it almost doubles the price of the shifter. So are you really getting a better deal? This is what Im trying to figure out because I have also considered the Escort Shifter ZR3 for my vehicle...

RensoreK,

Agreed. I paided $299.00 for my Shifter and $100.00 for install. While I think SML and Guys of LIDAR are neat hobbies and a good source of information. I would not make it my deciding factor on which product I buy. I have noticed in my short time here that alot of people "prefer" Blinder because it is the hot new product on the market. When the Escort ZR3 came out everyone said it was the all end be all of laser jamming. Point is, read as much as you can and review this site because there is alot of good stuff here. But don't make reviews your deciding factor. I bought my Shifter because I saw it work with my own eyes and on three different cars. Good Luck. I look forward to the videos.
