Shifters is Escort's fancy word for Laser Jamming that doesn't cause attention. Zr3 and Zr4 are both Laser Jammers offered by Beltronics/Escort/Cincinnati Microwave. The ZR3 is the older model and doesn't jam certain guns, the ZR4 is the updated version of the Zr3. Hope this helps.
