This is a question/suggestion that I believe has merit. I know that in many cities I can find posted radar locations for the day/week online. Since the ix currently stores redlight locations how difficult would it be for Escort to allow users to store radar location updates on a weekly or daily basis, through software? I believe that if the ix knows about the location ahead of time it could provide users with enhanced warning. Any thoughts?

Until it becomes a wireless solution I think it's a dead end.

Really? Why is that? If I have my ix plugged in to a usb port I should be able to just go on line, get the updates, load and go!

Because you are a rare bird that would bother to do weekly updates.

You need a wireless solution so it can continuosly update itself.

Close but no. Like one of those GPS Systems that use cellular to get realtime traffic. It needs to be built in to the detector. If you have to regularly hook a cable to it for weekly updates it will get old very quick (for most folks). And doing it Realtime would be MUCH better anyway.
