Well you can go west and go 290 to Waco and go up 35. Traffic wont be absolutely terrible i dont think.

You may be able to take 59 north to I20 and then take 20 west into Dallas. If you take 35 from Waco be VERY careful for speedtraps between Dallas and Waco. Look out for city of Milford in south Ellis county.
I hate driving on 35 because it is 2 rough lanes most of the way between Austin and Dallas.

foxnews just reported price guaging is at an all time high in the area, along with rental cars, hotels etc....
way to stick it to people when they need it most! if I had a gas station or a hotel I'd lower my price to help these people!!

Well you won't need a radar or jammer on the way here. Traffic is at a crawl. Taking almost 14 hours just to get to Dallas when it should take less than half that.

More than half.

I have never driven from Houston to Dallas so not sure. So, how long does it normally take to get from Dallas to Houston?

damn!!!! 13 hours to get to dallas Arlington TX, i called in a favor from and got a hotel just incase where im staying something happened when i got here i called him back and told him i wouldnt be needing it anymore. anyway WHERE are all the laser traps ??? i went out looking saw some radar the BC246t worked really well on the trip over here i heard what exit they will be closing and why and whats going on so i had a big advantage saved me like 5 hours and alot of gas 2 state troops ran out of gas and one other had engine problems. anyway i should be safe from Rita's killer front. give me some feedback on the laser trap around Arlington im head to Ft.Worth and Grape Vine so i will be around to day seeing some family ect..
