Disclaimer:
Because of the similarities in the naming searching for the answer is near impossible so i apologize ahead of time if this has been discussed ad nauseam before.

What are the exact differences between the 8500 and the 8500 X50?

Thanks

Besides cosmetics:

8500 - SWS

X50 - POP

Also (supposed) better detection by the X50, but many think its only apparent on K band yet Ka band is nearly identical.

X2.

There was a major hardware/antenna change in the X50 recently too.

I have an 8500 non x50 that i am currently using and it performs satisfactory for a 7-8 year old RD.

The early X50s with the S7 antenna behave much like a non X50 8500. Both have FCC ID QLK8500, just a difference in SWS/POP. And as stated, there is supposed to be better range but most don't think so. The later X50s with the M4 antenna behave somewhat differently (as far as detection/ramp up goes (FCC ID QLKX5M4)). And the even later models of the M4 behave more differently (supposed to be able to sense quick trigger pulls). What about the ramp up.... anyone... Frye... Frye...?
