A MA statie found a great spot this weekend in 91S in Springfield, maybe a mile north of the Basketball Hall of Fame. This stretch of road has been torn up for at least a year, with jersey barriers set up to block the shoulder in the right. The officer was in a marked car, partially obscured by barriers and equipment but backed in at the end of this section so that he could easily pop out and nab somebody. There was no indication of radar use but I could see his antenna mounted externally. This is a 50MPH zone and traffic flows anywhere from 55-75 depending on how psychotic the commuters are.
