Okay. Right now I own a Whistler XTR-140. Surprisingly, it is a good RD for only $50. My friend owns a 6-Band Cobra RD. So last week, he hopped in my car and he saw my Whistler. He was like what the hell is that? I said it is a Whistler RD. I heard about it online. He never heard of it. When i drove around with it but i received some K-band false alerts. He said his Cobra RD is way better than my Whistler? I was like no Cobra is the worst RD ever! Even people from online said too. He was like whatever. So, which RD is better? Whistler XTR-140 or Cobra 6-Band?

well i think your RD would be the best but at the end of the day let him believe what he wants to believe you cant change some people. its best to agree to disagree and not argue with him.
It's like people and there Opinions on what the best radar detector is some people like v1 some people like escort or beltronics or cobra or whistler . but at the end of the day its what is the best radar detector for you i hope i haven't got too off topic here i have a habit of doing that. i have had v1 and whistler beltronics and now i got a escort. the v1 for me has too many false alerts on ka ban i hate that so i sold it and got me a escort i love its not false alert free but it only gives me 5% false alerts and it works well for me and what i use it for.:D

Well, there is RMR which is possibly the only exception.

I learned long ago that people don't want unsolicited advice.
It's taken me a long time to figure out that even when they ask, usually they don't want it either.
This cobra guy almost, but not quite, fell in the latter camp. He only wanted to know WHAT it was.
Since Cobras seem pretty well regarded as the very best RDs, when it comes to sucking, you could tell your friend that you read up about it, and in some ways, it turns out Cobras really are tough to beat.
Voila, p!ssing contest ended, friendship restored, Bozo the Cobra-lover fraudulently saves face. All is right with the world once more. :-D

I saw one of those in a brand new Mercedes S550. I was like WTF!?! Plus it had the type of windshield that hurts radar detection so that drops his sensitivity even more. I've tried to use the Bushnell to get those ESD users out of my way and it doesn't work. They don't even look up at their detector.

The new Cobra cordless modell uses no batteries. You wind it up like an alarm clock and it just beeps until it winds down or you hit the mute/snooze button. :)

I have a couple friends who have the exact same model. With the Bushnell the cobra sometimes picks up the signal. That detector also has the worst reaction time I have ever seen. I believe its almost 5 seconds.

LOLOL! There are many examples of that. There is someone in my neighborhood with a 2009 CTS-V (556 HP) and yes, you guessed it, a Cobra on the windshield. I can't wait to ask him if how many tickets he has collected.
