RX65 case question

Noticed my new RX65 [which is quickly proving how much better it is than my RX55] has the printed 'RX65' logo on the detector itself in black, whereas on the packaging the text is blue, a Google image search shows units with blue logo. What colour is everyone elses? The packaging also says 'new titanium finish', tho I suspect they all say this [?]

Mine had the black lettering too.

Yeah, but it's just the writing on the case that's black. The case itself is still silver/grey/titanium/whatever.

I prefer it to the dull matte black of the RX55, atho they look they'd be interchangeable.

Hmmm. I wonder if they did anything else to the RD internally, or just changed the text colour/color. Perhaps it coincided with the latest firmware version.

Hey PhilNZ, have you noticed a lot of low-powered Ka around here? Like they have it in standby or low power mode or something? Mine never gets to full alert when passing highway patrol doing this.

try tech mode and you will get to see what freq your hits are
stalker dual = 34.7
cameras 34.6
but yes dont seem to ever get a full alert
have asked the question can they be turned down and have been told no
all tests in usa have a 2 mile test range and 65 gets signal of about 2 bars(see sml speed zones test or roy has results also
ive never had a longer hit than 1.6km head on with the cops on the hwy (not alot of time if both doing 100km or more head on)
but mainly get less than that norm 800m-1.2
think usa results done in desert dry and fine weather
those hits i had with camera was fine days also so think that has alot to do with it
am waiting to come across cop on way to hamilton on the straights to see if it gets any better
had a mates x50 last yr and got 2.5 k warning for a cop on side of rd

Have headed down to the mountain snowboarding a few times this season. Got a really good warning with my RX55 this one day, he was coming over a crest at National Park, at the end of a very long straight, it was perhaps a 3km [1.8mile] warning. It was one of those super clear dry days we were having a few weeks back.

Still waiting to see that white van speed camera you mentioned. Will be keen to see what type of range I get.

saw the white van again at manakau
came over last hill b4 off ramp and saw van well b4 v1 hit
65 DID NOT go off v1 did at 250m
went round again and both did at about 300m
so dont know what happened to the 65 1st time
just goes to show they do not always pick up till to late
think ive worked out why i got that great distance at partiki
think 1st hit is in direct line of where camera is pointed
which would explain why i lose signal coming up to cnr
