I was just wondering.
Can one single blinder head work on its' own without anything else, i.e. without the main unit etc.

I could just connect it directly to my battery with a fuse. Woud that work? I know i would not get any sounds or alerts.

Also would a single blinder head be effective without veil, and only a lasershield?

Thanks

you need the interface for that jammer to know it should be activated.....There will soon be options for single jamming heads(not by blinder i think) so wait alittle bit

the thing is a friend has one extra head that he may not need..... it surely won't work on its own?

nah the blinder M20 needs the interface....Not many jammers can be constantly on all the time(this was the situation with the first generation blinders) M-06s i believe and they burned out but that problem has be fixed making the need for the interface than turned the LEDs off and on

Actually that might work. The interface only provides power and light and sound. The head might work. I think it will not be on all the time since it is activated when it detects LIDAR.

c onsidering the interface is the mind center of the jammer i seriously believe you need the interface, but Dillip contact blinder dude and ask.

I tend to agree with you here.
the black box on the current gen Blinders basically gives them a central point for power and led/buzzer connections.
the heads run independant and self contained, which is a bummer in a way, since only the ones getting targeted fire up instead of all of them.
the box doesn't send any signal to turn on the other heads.

crazyVOLVOrob is right though, i would check with Leon. just in case the black box adjusts voltage, not to mention figuring out which 2 wires are for power, and which are not.

The interface is the one to tell the blinders to turn on in the first place, the LED array wont work by itself. Hands down !
