New Early Warning 22 frequency radar detector...model EW-101....tops Cobra!!! Self proclaimed "best radar detector".
Gotta have GOL test this one!!

Sells for $77, and claims to be completely RDD immune. Even has a velcro mount. What a deal.

Just checked an outside link for it; seems they're counting every common LEO frequency as a "band" for detection purposes (ie, 33.8, 24.7 and 35.5 are each their own "band"), and they're counting each type of lidar unit as a "band" as well. Each of the four types of Spectre is, apparently, a "band" that can be detected as well.
So by their logic, every individual frequency radar runs at is a "band" for detection purposes. If that's the standard, then the the V1 and Redline must be "infinity-band" detectors!

No Doubt about it what a deal LOL. I saw one site that said it retailed for $199 and now you can get it for $53 and some change. NICE!!!

Darn it, the second I buy a V1 a better detector comes out for way cheaper!

Who makes this detector by the way? Is this a RMR under new skin with a new name? Inquiring minds want tl know? I saw during a search where someone was asking a question. It seems his early warning detector was picking up automatic gate signals and no radar. Maybe it's immune to the spectre because it has no radar technology and is just a gate opener masquerading as a radar detector.

It's a "Early Warning" RD. They have been around, actually, for many years. Never really made any good RD....as one can imagine.

Obviously someone's buying them if they have been around for years. Know of any reviews on any of them. Just curious. Also, they seem a bit pricey.

RMR detectors are Attowave detectors. I played around with an RMR C-475 for a few days. It claims to be made in the USA but Attowave is from Korea. I think what RMR does is buys parts to make these from Attowave, then puts their scrambler thing on top of it. The easiest way to find out of the Early Warning is an Attowave is look at the Antenna. Attowave uses a "patented" copper antenna.
Now I dunno who does the software for RMR, if it is RMR or Attowave, or Attowave does it to RMR specs but the detector is fair but has some glaring flaws such as flipping bands when it gets close to the source, band priority issues etc.
If that is all Attowave on the detector side, then the Early Warning would exhibit similar flaws, as I'm sure RMR is buying the same general detector parts. I unfortunately didn't get to open the RMR-C475, which I'd have liked to, so I eventually hope to open one for internals, however the FCC certification gives internals of a similar model as far as atennas used, obvioulsly stuff has been modified as the newer one has the power jack on the other side of the board but it gives you a general idea. If you look in the post I had about it someone posted a link to the FCC cetification so if someone obtains the Early Warning the antennas can be compared and then it will be known if it is an Attowave or not.
There are other Chinese manufacturers (one I just contacted myself in an effort to obtain production samples to test for my own curiousity) as well.

Thanks for the info. So much knowledge on this site.

How long will it be before the "Just Got a Ticket With My New Cobra, How Did He Get Me?" thread.

I got Ka followed by laser as I was passed by an Infiniti with a Cobra (ground seeking RD) last week; the reason I got passed is because we came around a corner to a local fishing spot where the Infiniti promptly got I/pwned; some days there is justice:D
Wow! This thing is gonna sell like hotcakes!!!

Hope this isn't encroaching on the Radar Buster's site, but here's a video that should answer
just about any questions...:D:D:D
