Some of you will be interested in this article about the different manufacture's sound deadening materials and how they compare.

If you have no idea what I am talking about, sound deadening material can make your noisy car quiet.
Such things as road noise, outside noise, rattles can be dealt with with these kind of products.

Hey thanks Boomerman... Back when I used to be heavily into car audio we used to use SoundDeadening material for its(the) property of:

Keeping the sound(frequency burps...measured in db's of course) originating from inside the car...well um inside the car (for SPL purposes). It also (as you stated) helped to keep road noise to a minimum and also nullify most 'car' noise itself for better SQ. (So basically helped with all around SQL)
