Go with one of the PRO models instead.

You mean "Thanks Boomerman" he suggested you go with the Whistler Pro series over the unit you suggested.

Get a Pro-58. The 1743 is probably decent, as all of the "modern" Whistlers are, but if you're looking for a primary detector, Pro-58 or Pro-73 are the way to go.

Why the eBAY is so bad ???? My friend also bought detector 2 weeks ago. This is in perfect condition we check it with STALKER ATR radar gun. Here in Latvia Whistler PRO 73 costs 430$. That's wy i prefer to by from eBAY. 147$ vs 430$ ????? I think 283$ is a money ???
