What the heck was this? I know there is some sort of laser that this toll booth has. First, what is it for? Second, what in the world did my LI's say? LOL. It got cut off before she could finish b/c the laser source was so short. Its funny, usually my V1 goes off and LI's don't. There was one other time both LI and V1 went off, but didn't have it on video. Can anyone make out what this alert says?

Also, quick side note. I've been in contact with Smith and Wesson, and although their customer service is ok, its not up to par for me. Its your fault CLIFF! Your service is too damn good and now I expect it from EVERY other company.

It's alerting "Traffic-Observer". There is a pulse rate from an IR Source at the Toll Plaza that is the same as the pulse rate for the Traffic-Observer LIDAR.

THanks Cliff. Do u know what the purpose of the laser source is? It doesnt happen here all the time, but does on numerous occasions.

There are a plethora of IR devices used at Toll Plazas now. It could be anything from vehicle size determination systems to axle measuring system to God knows what else they're using IR systems for now-a-days. I'm sure someone with more specific knowledge will chime in.

Before I had my LI's my v1 would false once in a while at the lincoln tunnel going into the city. I wouldn't even care about laser alerts at tolls

In the tunnel!? I thought this was done before going in the tunnel?

Bad idea to do around here, up the DFW area (more Irving) moto cops LOVE sitting just in front of tolls nabbing people that dont drop speed fast enough.
Can the LI block multiple sources? For example if I was approaching a toll and got this alert, and all the while a LEO is getting me with something else.
