There is a slight hill on 287 North in the exit 53 area, surrounded by embankments. Seems like a pretty safe area to speed, or so I thought, There is a ditch at the bottom of the hill where either an unmarked tinted out blue Chevy Impala sits, a marked car, or a Gray crown vic. It is a laser trap, they all run laser. I got nailed there yesterday, be careful guys.

is this the part of the highway where the enbankment is made of rocks within some kind of netting piled high in bricks? They hide at two points along this portion of 287 North.
There is a section where the brick/rock walls end and a dirt road runs up the back on a small hill, from the road you can not see this only when going south bound. I have seen a marked state trooper shooting x-band from behind there at the a$$es of traffic. Also there is an overpass with a similar dirt road where I have seen a state tropper shooting x-band right into the traffic north bound.
Never have I encountered laser, but I have seen the unmarked cars giving tickets.

Hey Jeff, Sorry to hear you got nailed. They are there alot more than one would think. The Riverdale cops also shoot laser from the side of the interstate in this area. Their Durangos and impalas are easy to spot. They, Riverdale PD, also run constant on Ka under the overpass at that exit. Pretty easy to pick that up. The NJSP unit I see alot of the time is a silver unmarked crown vic. He actually is difficult to pick out when sitting in the turn around at the bottom of the hill you described. Hope this helps.

Yeah, watch out for Mahwah cops using constant on Ka band, especially if your heading south bound.

I've also seen some constant on K-band in Mahwah just to let you know. It was a one shot deal when I saw it... every other time it's been constant Ka.

I just moved to Mahwah, from the UK. Do you guys mind giving me any more info on speedtraps in these areas:
Garden State Parkway
NJ Turnpike
295 south, exit 4 of NJTP down to the Delaware Mem. Bridge
I do some heavy speeds on those roads heading south and back up.
I stupidly bought a Cobra at Radio Shack. I then read all of the anti-cobra posts on this website and today returned it for a Bel Pro RX65.
When it comes to avoiding laser, would you drive 80-90mph in NJ with the Bel Pro RX65 or would you only drive this speed if you had a laser jammer in addition to veil?

On the turnpike cops let you go as long as your going 79 or under. Over 80 is asking for a ticket and between laser and instant on your pretty much screwed at high speeds even with a rx65 or any other rd. Just slow down on bends and were the medians are which is were I see cops sitting alot.

Yeah I think thats a false alarm - I've also gotten a constant on k-band hit when crossing the bridge just after the Pepsi Building going north bound.
