I took a trip from Ontario to Quebec, saw OPP shooting laser on the 401 east of Coburg. The cruiser parked on the left shoulder, Leo with the gun on a tripod. Then on hwy 40 in Quebec, at least 3 encounters with laser.
There were no radar traps encountered, and the worst part is I don't have any laser counter measures installed. I didn't have the time to install it before the trip. My trusty sti driver was nothing but a paper weight on this trip. I miss my LI :(

No tickets? My bel is great @ picking up LIDAR how did you have it mounted?
Not that the Bel STi would be very good at picking up laser anyway.

No tickets, I had my STi driver mounted low, on the dash. I didn't get a chance to hard wire it yet, or install my LI. No laser scatter detected. There were 5 speed traps on the way back, only one trap running radar. A lone OPP officer in a suburban shooting k band outside of Cornwall.
I'm beginning to think that LI is a must for long road trips on the 401. Given that traffic is at 120km/hr and the limit is 100, either you impede the flow of traffic, or you make open your self to a ticket.
