I just bought an Bel 996ST from a friend but now I wonder if it works with new radars? Im living in finland. The most common radar here is a Stalker.

I would also want a manual for this thing.

And, if it is useless are there any possibility to mod the device to work with modern radars?

You don't have the antenna? It should work well in Finland. Ask DET he knows better than I do

ok.. is there any possibility to get the antenna from somewhere?

does this mean that i can catch up signals but not from very far away?

is it the same device that bel 966-R?

I have never heard of the Bel996ST, only the Bel996R...what does it say on the control box? the Bel996R reads "Vector Europa".

If its a Bel966R, unfortunaltely the Bel996 will not pick up the Stalkers used in Finland which I believe operate in 34,7GHz and the 996 only picks up 34,3GHz. I will work againsta all the other radars you have teher Multanovas in the 34,3GHz and also any Ku or K band radaras as well, but not the Stalkers.

I've discussed with 'ohmama' and the unit is an old one and nothing to do with 966R. It's propably one of those "Canary Island" models ment for very cheap priced markets

Does anyone know conclusively if the 966R detects 34.300Ghz +/-100Mhz (34.200 to 34.400Ghz) or if it is 34.360Ghz (34.260-23.460Mhz)?
