My first scanner was a Tandy, my other scanners to date are Uniden. I have 5. One in car, one on fridge, one in basement, and two in bedrooms. These scanners pick up CB and everything in between. If a state trouper transmits, the scanner instantly locks onto the trunk. Uniden rd's are unbelievable! You have never experienced radio/radar detection even approaching this level of excellence! I just wish there was a competitor to knock the price down a bit.

I sold my unit (BCT10 I think) because the HP alert never alarmed due to non talking Troopers in AL and MS. Worked great in KY.

Old fart. Not you, the 10 Den. 16 channel if memory serves. My second scanner was a 10 channel "programmable" Fox my folks payed out the ass for at Christmas when I was of driving age. Best Christmas ever! It died just 10yrs ago when the keypad pooped out.
