What area was this around in Mississauga?
I'm quite sure if the cop suspects you put it in your pocket, he can search you... I've heard of people putting it in their pockets before, and they still get confiscated.

The measuring of the box is made for Target 966 wich is based on Bel 815R. The antenna horn inside is different in 915/975R than 966
Also itīs tuned merely to 34,3 GHz (as Multanova speed radarcamera works) but seems to has itīs performance through hole Superwide Ka
We have one pcs at ourselves right now and were going to put it in hard test ...
Iīll inform You
I was clean booked, he knew I had it, so there was no point. I tried stashing it under the seat and playing dumb, but he knew I had it the whole time. *sigh*Quote:

For now I'll wait until I see someone bring out a Spectre-III proof kit.
yeah peel is worse than toronto cops. i havent seen any spectre units in toronto, but i have seen them in all the peel traffic cars. a few weeks back i saw it mounted on one of their windshields, not sure if it was spectre 2 or 3 tho.
Apparently Toronto Police tried some Spectres and they drove the Cops nuts with the constant False Alarms and it was too hard to figure out which car had and RD in it in a City settingQuote:

sorry to hear about that!!
this is the problem they use rdd's with their radars turned off....
that way they sneek about without you knowing their there!
i would have thought that bel would have brought out an rdd'd!
that way you can easly turn it off if it detects an rdd! and if ithey made the feature with on and off switch then this wont interfere with people who live in legal areas! or people who dont ant to switch their detector off!
what you really need is some kind of device that emitts a low frequency similiar to a detector and then blame it on that! I would modify a cheap cb by sticking in a gun diode assmbly into it and then if a cop pulls you over blame the cb! He has any questions just let him try the Spectra on it... 8)
of course you want to be real real sneeky strip out the cb's guts and place a real detector in there...Let him search your car all he wants he won't find your detector! Actually for a much better way to go If you want to be real real smart you could even keep the C.B. functional and the police would be truly stumped....
just place the "detector/cb" on the dashboard so it can look down the road...
unfortunatly police here are taught all the tricks in the book, they are certified RDD operators and know that a CB wont set off a Spectre no matter how powerful....they will strip the car to search and may even tell you to escort them to the station for a further inspection, they will eventually find the CB is causing the problem and pull it apart....busted
alot of hassle if ya ask me.
